Dr. Paul R. Calat is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMS). He completed his dental training in 1996 at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. He then spent the next five years focused on advanced specialty training in the field of Oral Surgery and Dental Implantology at Columbia University / Harlem Hospital Center. He has earned the distinction of being named a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Calat is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the New York Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Calat is a faculty member of Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he helps educate future Oral Surgeons.
In 2010, in collaboration with the Spear Education in Scottsdale Arizona; Dr. Calat started the Mid Manhattan Spear Study Club. In monthly meetings Dr. Calat, general dentists and other specialists together review complex cases and share ideas to best help our patients. Dr. Calat currently is a co-leader of the group along with Dr. Udo Schutte.
Dr. Calat was born and raised in New York. He enjoys traveling and spends time with his boxer, Brook-lyn.
